Journeyhub Hotel – a Great Hotel Near BTS Phrom Phong, Emporium, EmQuartier and EmSphere
After almost 6 months in Europe, we headed to Asia. We plan to spend the next 6 months based in Bangkok.
Whenever we need to book a hotel in Bangkok, St. James Hotel on Sukhumvit Soi 26 is always our first choice. But note that it recently changed ownership and name, and is now called Journeyhub Hotel. Same great hotel and service though.

The rooms are spacious and the location couldn’t be much better. It’s also great value for money. Before our recent 6-month travels around Europe, we stayed in this hotel for around 3 weeks. We’re back here again.
Deluxe Room
There are three room types at this hotel – Superior Room, Deluxe Room, and Junior Suite. We always choose the Deluxe Room option, as you get fantastic views from these rooms.
The room is 32 sqm, which is quite large compared to most other hotels in Bangkok. I’ve seen nearby hotels charge a similar around for a room half the size.
One of my favorite things about this hotel is the extra-large, and very comfortable bed. A good bed is so important for getting quality sleep that we always try to choose hotels with great beds. Journeyhub Hotel meets this requirement.
As well as a great bed, the deluxe rooms also have a desk and office chair, so it’s an idea place to do some work. There’s a small lounger/sofa in the corner, which gives you somewhere else to sit.
The room has a small fridge/mini bar with fairly reasonable prices. The wardrobe includes a safety deposit box. An iron and ironing board is available from the housekeeping staff.
You are provided with two free bottles of water every day.
Bathroom
The bathroom is a good size and includes all the essentials, including a hairdryer and a Japanese-style toilet. Soap, shower gel, shampoo, and other items are included.
The View
I love the view you get the rooms in this hotel. It’s quite an open view due to the low-rise buildings on one side of the hotel.
Wifi
The wifi at the hotel was a good speed and has always worked very well every time we stayed there. Good wifi is essential for us, so we always make sure the hotels we stay at have it.
Swimming Pool
The hotel has a small swimming pool on the ground floor.
The Location
The location is fantastic. It’s on Sukhumvit Soi 26, around 200 meters from the main Sukhumvit Road. It’s also just a 5-minute walk to Phrom Phom BTS (skytrain) station and Emporium and EmQuartier shopping malls.

The area has numerous cafés, restaurants, supermarkets, pharmacies, massage places, and whatever else you may need.
